Annual Giving

Give each year, to impact every day.

Each year, thousands of community members give to United Way of the Tanana Valley during our Annual Campaign. Your annual contributions have a direct and immediate impact on United Way of the Tanana Valley, the Member Agencies we support, and non-profits across our state. Your annual giving ensures that these non-profits will have the funding necessary to help carry out their missions and programs.

1 in 4 people within the Tanana Valley have received services from United Way agencies. As the economic uncertainty in our state grows, so do the needs in our community. Your support is critical to United Way of the Tanana Valley. Your gift makes it possible to advance the common good in our community, focusing on income, education and health.

Your gift can be designated to the Community Care Fund, our Substance Abuse Prevention Initiative, a specific UW Member Agency, or any non-profit in the State of Alaska of your choice. The majority of our donors make gifts to the Community Care Fund, supporting all United Way agencies, addressing the most urgent needs in our community. Others designate to our Substance Abuse Prevention Iniative- Clear Minds, Bright Futures. When looking at the needs of the community, substance abuse prevention is ranked consistently in the top three. Through the Clear Minds, Bright Futures Initiative, UWTV funds programs that address substance abuse prevention in our community. Others choose to designate to a specific UW agency, or other non-profit in the State of Alaska that holds a special meaning for them.

Your annual gift to United Way of the Tanana Valley is easy to do through Workplace Campaigns which allow you the option to enroll in payroll deduction. What's more, many donors can double their gifts through their company's matching program. This is a way to grow your contribution without actually giving more! If your workplace doesn't hold an annual campaign, suggest that they do! It is a fun way for employees to get involved and give back to our community!
