United Way To Hold Annual Meeting, Campaign Recognition Luncheon.

United Way of the Tanana Valley will hold its Annual Meeting and Campaign Recognition Luncheon Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 11:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Westmark Hotel (813 Noble Street) in the Gold Room.

Karen Dieringer, will give the president's address featuring the year in review. Campaign Chair, Jay Quakenbush, Assistant Business Manager International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1547 will present 2007 campaign highlights. The 2007-2008 Board of Directors will be elected followed by a brief Board meeting.

"This is our opportunity to thank all the people and businesses that have helped to make the campaign a huge success. We are a better community because of the work of United Way's human care agencies and because of the generosity of the Fairbanks community."

Seekins Ford-Lincoln–Mercury and Usibelli Coal Mine help United Way to provide complimentary lunches for the volunteers. The buffet luncheon is $15 per person and open to the public.

United Way of the Tanana Valley is a nonprofit agency that provides funding to 24 health and human care member agencies through public contributions. "When we UNITE together as a community we can accomplish anything."
